About this Course

Goal:

Teachers will demonstrate leadership in accelerating their integration of digital teaching and learning pedagogies.

By completing this module you will demonstrate Mastery for the NC Digital Learning Competencies: Leadership

Engage in virtual and face-to-face learning communities to master the usage of technology applications for professional growth and student learning.
Facilitate a professional development that promotes the integration of digital teaching and learning.
Collaborate about the implementation of a digital tool or resource, reflecting about its impact on student learning and how you could improve implementation in the future, and sharing lessons learned with other educators.
Reflect about professional practices for the the purpose of improving instruction through social media, a public blog, or other public facing online tool.

Instructions:

Participants who choose to begin the Leadership in Digital Learning Focus Area at the Mastery level will submit an artifact to provide evidence of their skill in the 4 target areas: Professional Learning Networks, Professional Development, Digital Tools, and Professional Reflection. It is possible that participants who initially begin at this level may later choose to return to the self-evaluation page and select another entry point for the coursework.

Upon successful completion of the Mastery level, participants may earn 1.0 CEUs and a digital badge in this Focus Area.

(*The CEU credit identified above is a recommendation only. Each local school district will determine the amount of CEU credits to award to each participant. Based upon course completion, each participant will receive a certificate.)

Time Needed:

The Mastery artifact reflects activities that demonstrate skill in this Focus Area. Some artifacts may take more or less time for teachers as they complete activities or collect evidence, but on average submission of the Mastery artifact and rationale may take 4-5 hours to complete.
